Standard 4:  Demonstrate professionalism

The three artifacts I chose for this standard  have to do with my leadership in the school, community and teaching as well as professional growth from professional goals.

For the first artifact Fossils got talent, I got to be a part of the school activities as a teacher recognizing students in the crowed as well as the stage. Fossils got talent was also a great way to give back to the community because all of the proceeds were given to the saber-tooth fund which gives back to fossil families who are in need. 

My second artifact is another co-curricular event which I went to a students lacrosse game. I got to once again be apart of the community and cheer on students and it was awesome. I also got to experience a teaching moment with my student after this because they lost so I got to talk to her about my connections to sports and how it feels to loose as an individual or with team work. 

As for mt third artifact I put my management plan. This has a lot of my professional goals in it ranging from dream classroom to what I will do when problems arise in the classroom. Some of my professional goals such as greeting students at the door I will need practice on but as for the check in on health mental and physical I did that  at Polaris with my students and it really made them feel safe and I knew how to switch things up if everyone had felt tired that day.

For this standard I believe I am at a proficient level. I always try to reflect on actions. In EDUC 450 whenever I had an interaction with a student where I was put into a leadership position I would talk to my mentor teacher about it and see if I handled everything professionally. I care about the students but their is a fine line between caring and being their best friends. I always try to talk professionally as well as dress professionally, my goal in EDUC 450 was to not be mistaken for a student because of the way I was dressing. There are areas I could develop, for student teaching I think it would be wise to have a checklist of professional goals maybe one a day or week and review my growth and change from the process.
