MY SERVICE LEARNING PORTFOLIO
3D Service Learning
This website is my service learning profile. It will talk about the service learning/experience as well as the role it played in me growing as an educator. The menu at the top has each class as an available link to click on to review my setting and contexts, art experiences, lesson plans, and journal entries of my classroom teachings. Included in this home page is description of some of the students I had a pleasure of working with.
SETTING AND CONTEXT
Who, What, Where, When, Why? A brief description of each student.
Student 1: This student who was man who had an interest in the news and current world events. He liked making art that gave him the option to build and add on to.
Student 2: This student who was a woman who was very interested in fictional fantasies, she loved reading, and talking about literacy. The art she enjoyed making was art in which related to her fictional reads.
Student 3:This student was a woman who really loved her cats. She made a lot of things dedicated to her cats as well in contribute to. She never had a hard time coming up with what to make we would always present the lesson for that day and she would have many ideas on how to achieve her goals.
Student 4: This student was a woman who only showed up to the first couple classes. She liked making things in fine detail and did not like the feel of clay on her hand, however she liked drawing in patterns and close detail.
Student 5: This student was a young woman probably in college. She enjoyed talking about her life experiences and sharing about her disability. She was never afraid to ask help and she enjoyed making things that were 'cute'.
Student 6: This student was a young man who loved trucks. As long as we kept reminding him of the goal at hand he would keep working, however if he got side tracked he would only want to make collages of pictures he liked. When he needed help or wanted to share something he enjoyed he would guide me by my hand to what he wanted to show/communicate to me.
